Working from a photo and plein air studies from the area, I wanted to paint simply and highlight the shapes. I used the color scheme as served up by nature, violet, green and orange (had to push it a little) and a blue sky to help the cliffs pop. I love shape of the series of cliffs in shadow, that's the whole story.
