This is a studio painting from plein air studies and digital photos of the California coastline between Carmel and Big Sur, California. The location is just north of the Rocky Creel Bridge on Highway One. I've painted here on numerous occasions, however, it gets a little more difficult each year due to problems associated with bad weather and road repair!
