While children are characterized by how their playfulness of children intertwines beautifully with their innate imaginative abilities, I wanted to focus my painting on how children's sense of mindfulness and self awareness grows with age. As they grow older initially, the world around them is a vast and captivating playground filled with wonder and curiosity, however as they mature, their experiences, interactions, and challenges pave the way for deeper introspection and self-awareness. This painting encompasses how as children grow older they become more attuned to the present moment, learning to savor the joys and face the difficulties with equanimity.
