As a painter I often like to fuse different genres, creating a sense of unique design. This painting of Fenna was based on a classic 17th century pose. The child sits like a princess dwarfed by the antique chair. Together with her mother, a fashion stylist, we created a modern black and white outfit from leather and traditional lace. I used only four colours - Ivory Black, Lead White, Vermilllion and Yellow Ochre.
