As I walk the beach every daybreak, I am moved by the contrast of the peaceful, beautiful sunrise and the life and death struggle I get to witness. Herons, pelicans, egrets, terns and seagulls try to catch their breakfast, as the water ripples with hunters and prey. The beauty and majesty of the magnificent herons was what I tried to capture in my painting.
