Oil over textured acrylic under painting, mixing most of my colors directly on the canvas. The light simply makes my heart sing! It can turn an ordinary scene into something truly extraordinary! I worked from my photos as well as plein air. My studio is on the side of a mountain, so I am always able to see the woods, underbrush and forest floor right outside my window... checking my painting progress against real life, where the photos are likely to lie.
