The young couple got married and a bridal bouquet was casually left behind. Seeing the literal and metaphorical beauty in it, I took it home where in the evening out table is illuminated by three warm low hanging lamps and where my favorite little vase is displayed. Everything came together just right. Night after night I drew this still-life in colored pencil so as not to capture the delicacy of the scene. The unique Ephraim vase, the overlapping shadows from the three lamps, and their shapes called for an Art Nouveau Style frame design.
