I painted this while participating in the Adirondack Plein Air Festival at a boat launch. There was a storm brewing in the distance and the leaves in the trees were starting to flutter, yet the water seemed so smooth and tranquil. There was a slight soft movement that seemed to skimmer across the water that I wanted to capture how silky it seemed.
