Afternoon Light on a Little Brook

This particular spot happens to inspire me in all seasons. This is in the woods just behind our house in the Adirondacks. I walk here daily and have so many moments of wanting to capture and share the feeling of the little brook bubbling between the trees. This particular one is in the Spring time when all the new leaves were just popping out with their vibrant young bright colors and the moss seemed to have little blossoms on them. The way the light touched the edges and the running water sparkling with life, just made me stop and paint on the spot. Unfortunately, all the bugs were waking up and found me as a delicious treat as well. I had to paint fast before I came out of the woods with more "Spring" color on me as well.
