Classical Treasures

The elements in this painting are all things I strongly associate with my late mother. The classical music album in the background belonged to her, as did the perfume bottle, the pearls and the cutwork linen cloth. The blooming violets are mine, but something that were always in bloom in our house as I was growing up. This oil painting was painted entirely from life following traditional oil painting techniques.
