This is a painting depicts the inside of historic structure in India. It is a hall of pillars and each of them is carved intricately. I wanted to depict the scene with some detail in the foreground, but with less of it in the background. I also wanted to depict the hazy morning sun falling in the courtyard, casting shadows of the pillars on the ancient stones.
